Cardinals fall out of No. 1 seed in NFC with loss to Panthers

The Arizona Cardinals lost to the Carolina Panthers 34-10 Sunday afternoon at State Farm Stadium. The loss, combined with a win by the Green Bay Packers, affected the NFC conference standings.

The Cardinals, who regained the No. 1 seed last week with their win over the San Francisco 49ers, lost it Sunday.

The Packers defeated the Seattle Seahawks, the Cardinals’ next opponent, 13-0 and improved to 8-2.

Now both the Cardinals and Packers are 8-2.

Because of the Packers’ 24-21 win over the Cardinals in Week 8, they hold a head-to-head tiebreaker over them.

So, entering Week 11, the Packers are the No. 1 seed in the NFC, followed by the Cardinals at 8-2 for No. 2.

There are still many weeks left in the regular season, so a lot can change in the NFC playoff race.
