Cardinals don’t have the longest playoff odds in the NFL

The Arizona Cardinals are not expected to be a super-competitive team in 2019, at least based on odds and projections. They promise to be an improved team, but between having a rookie head coach, a rookie quarterback, playing without Patrick Peterson for six weeks and having a tough schedule, there aren’t high expectations nationally.

In fact, oddsmakers give them long odds to make the playoffs. However, they do not have the longest odds. According to BetOnline, there are two teams with longer playoff odds. The Cardinals are ahead of both the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins.

The Cardinals currently are a +500 bet to make the playoffs and a -650 that they do not.

The Bengals are +600 to make the postseason and -800 to miss it.

The Miami Dolphins are +800 to make it and -1250 to miss it.

Of course, this means the Cardinals are viewed as the worst team in the NFC but after what happened in 2018, there is some relief that they aren’t viewed as the absolute worst team in football, and there is the hope that they can far exceed expectations.
