The Arizona Cardinals seem likely to address the cornerback position in this month’s NFL draft, and they are doing their homework on defensive backs. It is the middle of pro day season and Arizona is sending personnel all over. General manager Steve Keim has been seen at Miami’s pro day. Running backs coach James Saxon was at North Carolina’s and probably Sean Kugler was at Notre Dame’s.
The latest information is about UCF’s pro day on Friday. According to Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy, the Cardinals were one of six teams mentioned who had defensive coaches present.
He presumes they were there to see safety Richie Grant and cornerbacks Aaron Robinson and Tay Gowan.

Grant was a three-year starter at safety and his most productive year was in 2018 when he had 108 tackles and six interceptions. He is 6-0 and about 195 pounds. He is a Day 2 or Day 3 pick probably. He has played on special teams, too.
Robinson began at Alabama but transferred after his freshman year. He was a starter for UCF the last two seasons. He is 6-0 and 190 pounds. He had one interception and 15 pass breakups over the last two seasons. He could go Day 2 or Day 3 in the draft.
Gowan opted out of the 2020 season. He began his college career at Miami of Ohio and transferred to UCF thereafter. His only season at UCF was 2019. He had 31 tackles and two interceptions. He is long at 6-2 and weighs 185. He is also another potential Day 2 or Day 3 pick.
