Tanner Vallejo fans, fret not. The linebacker quickly found a new NFL home with the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals claimed the ex-Browns linebacker off waivers. Arizona holds the No. 1 priority in waiver claims this offseason, and they scooped up Vallejo. Pro Football Talk is reporting there were at least six other teams who filed waiver claims on Vallejo, too.
That’s an interesting level of demand for a player who looked completely overmatched in the passing game and whose primary value is on special teams.
