Cardinals CB Tramaine Brock, RB David Johnson suffer injuries in Week 5 win

The Arizona Cardinals had to deal with some injuries on Sunday in their 26-23 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. They entered the game without receivers Christian Kirk or Damiere Byrd, and they also were without rookie defensive lineman Zach Allen.

During the game, cornerback Tramaine Brock twice left with an injury, while running back David Johnson finished the game a little banged up.

Brock, who dealt with a back injury leading up to the game, hurt his right knee at one point but came back in to play. In the second half, though, it was announced he suffered a shoulder injury and was questionable to return. He did not return.

Johnson never left the game with an injury but was dealing with one at the end of the game, revealed head coach Kliff Kingsbury after the game.

“He was hurting a little bit, for him to make that catch on the sideline was phenomenal,” he said.

Kingsbury told reporters “his back was acting up sometime in the first half.”

Johnson played the entire game, had 19 rushing attempts for 91 yards and three receptions for a team-leading 65 yards.
