EA Sports released the ratings for rookie players for the upcoming Madden 20 video game. Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback, the No. 1 pick in the draft, was not treated kindly, getting only a 73 overall rating, behind 19 other rookies.
However, Arizona’s second-round pick, cornerback Byron Murphy, was treated well.
He was given the highest rating of all the cornerbacks in the draft with a 75 overall rating. Only eight rookies have a higher rating than Murphy.
This is consistent with what the Cardinals thought. They had Murphy No. 5 overall on their draft board and the No. 1 at his position.
Murphy could end up being a starting cornerback in Patrick Peterson’s absence for the first six weeks of the season, and will likely be a starter in the slot.
The only players rated higher than Murphy at this stage of the video game are DT Quinnen Williams, DT Ed Oliver, DE Nick Bosa, DE Josh Allen, WR Marquise Brown, TE T.J. Hockenson, DT Dexter Lawrence and receiver DK Metcalf.
