Cardinals bring in long snapper for workout

The Arizona Cardinals made some roster moves on Saturday but also apparently had a workout with a player before traveling to Los Angeles to take on the Rams in Week 17.

According to the league transaction report, they brought in long snapper Drew Scott for a tryout on Saturday.

Scott has not yet played in the NFL but played collegiately at Kansas State.

He spent the 2019 offseason with the Dallas Cowboys and part of the 2020 offseason with the New York Giants.

The Cardinals’ current long snapper, Aaron Brewer, is still under contract one more season.

The tryout could be to have a backup plan if Brewer were to land on the COVID list or perhaps they might add him to the offseason roster.
