Cardinals bring in DL Terrell McClain for visit

The Arizona Cardinals have questionable depth on the defensive line so they brought in a veteran for a visit. According to the Arizona Republic’s Bob McManaman, they hosted veteran defensive lineman Terrell McClain.

McClain, 30 years old, spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons. He appeared in 13 games, starting five, and had 17 total tackles and a sack.

He has bounced around the league since getting drafted in the third round in 2011 by the Carolina Panthers. He has played for six different teams.

Arizona has only three healthy defensive linemen with significant experience in Corey Peters, Darius Philon and Rodney Gunter. Robert Nkemdiche is coming off a torn ACL and they also drafted two defensive linemen.

Returning to a 3-4 scheme, it will require that they have five or six players in the rotation to play.
