With the release of the NFL schedule on Thursday, BetMGM opened betting lines for the opening week of the season. The Arizona Cardinals, who open the season on the road against the San Francisco 49ers, open as big underdogs.
BetMGM’s line has them at +310 against the money line, while the 49ers are -400 to win straight up.
Looking at the line against the spread, the 49ers are favored by 8.5 points.
When looking at the point total, a reasonably high-scoring game is expected. The over/under for points is set at 45.5 points.
In the two games between the two teams last year, the 49ers won both games outright but failed to cover either game. The Cardinals covered the spread in the first game and the second ended up in a push.
They hit the Over in both games, averaging a total of 57.5 points in the two contests.
