Cardinals announce final cuts, getting roster to 53 players

The Arizona Cardinals announced the roster moves they needed to make to cut down their roster down to the required 53 players.

After announcing 10 cuts on Monday, they removed another 17 from the roster.

One move was to move cornerback Malcolm Butler to the retired reserve.

They waived offensive lineman Marcus Henry with an injury designation, meaning if he clears waivers, he will revert to injured reserve.

They released 15 other players, some of whom have been previously reported.

  • WR Andre Baccellia
  • S Chris Banjo
  • WR Greg Dortch
  • LB Kylie Fitts
  • OL Sean Harlow
  • DL Margus Hunt
  • OL Koda Martin
  • DL Josh Mauro
  • TE Bernhard Seikovits
  • TE Ross Travis
  • LB Reggie Walker
  • CB Jace Whittaker
  • S James Wiggins
  • S Shawn Williams
  • CB Daryl Worley

These initial cuts do not mean the roster is finalized. Starting guard Justin Pugh and cornerback Robert Alford remain on the COVID list, meaning they do not currently count against the 53-man roster.
