The Arizona Cardinals are excited about second-round pick Andy Isabella, the receiver they drafted with the 62nd overall pick in the 2019 draft. Isabella is extremely excited.
The standout from UMass who caught over 100 passes and had nearly 1,700 receiving yards in 2018, clearly is excited.
In a two-minute conference call with reporters after getting drafted by the Cardinals, he said, “I can’t wait” seven times.
He “can’t wait to be a Cardinal.” He “can’t wait” to play in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense. He “can’t wait” to see where he plays, whether outside or inside. He “just can’t wait” to play in the NFL (he said that twice). He “can’t wait” to play with Kyler Murray. He “can’t wait to get into this league” to show what he is made of.
Isabella has a chance to be a big-time performer in the Cardinals’ new offense. As excited as he is to be on the team, if he is what the team believes he can be, Cardinals fans most assuredly will want to say they can’t wait to see him play every Sunday.
