Background

Pappoe is a rookie. The Cardinals drafted him in the fifth round out of Auburn.

He is an athletic freak.

He is fast, explosive and strong.

In his final season at Auburn last season, he had 91 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, three pass breakups and two forced fumbles.

2023 salary, cap hit

Pappoe signed a four-year $4.08 million deal after he was drafted.

In 2023, he will make $750,000 in salary, the league minimum. He also was paid a signing bonus of nearly $245,000.

His cap hit in 2023 will be more than $811,000.

Roster outlook

Pappoe is definitely in the mix to make the final roster, but it will ultimately depend on how many inside linebackers they keep.

Kyzir White, Krys Barnes, Josh Woods and Zeke Turner are all locks for the roster. Pappoe and undrafted rookie Kyle Soelle are likely battling for a final spot. Pappoe’s athleticism should make him good on special teams, so he probably will have the edge.
