Cardinals 2019 stats countdown: 80 days till season opener

There are now 80 days remaining in our countdown to the start of the regular season for the Arizona Cardinal. Therefore, we must find some notable stats in team history for the No. 80.

In 1950, Don Paul rushed for exactly 80 yards.

Three different players had exactly 80 catches in a season. Most recently, David Johnson had 80 in 2016. Larry Fitzgerald had 80 in 2011 and J.T. Smith had 80 in 1986.

Receiver Ricky Proehl played 80 games for the Cardinals from 1990-1994. Fullback Jim Otis played in 80 games as well from 1973-1978.

Kicker Steve Little scored 80 career points with the Cardinals from 1978-1980. He made 13 field goals and 41 extra points.

Running backs Time Hightower and Andre Ellington each had the third-longest run in team history — 80 yards. Hightower did it in 2010 and Ellington in 2013 as a rookie.

Tomorrow we will bring you stats for the No. 79.
