Cardinals 2019 stats countdown: 5 days until season opener

The Arizona Cardinals are now only five days away from the start of the season, when they take the field at State Farm Stadium to take on the Detroit Lions. It will be the first game that counts.

With five days left, we continue with our countdown, looking for stats in team history for the No. 5.

Bruce Arians, the team’s winningest head coach, coached five seasons.

There are 15 players in team history who have intercepted five passes. That list includes names like Robert Massey, Greg Toler and Jerraud Powers.

Two quarterbacks have thrown five touchdown passes in a game. Charley Johnson did it in 1962 and Kurt Warner did it in 2009.

There have been nine five-interception games by Cardinals quarterbacks. Kurt Warner had two such games.

There are 59 games since 1950 in which a quarterback was sacked five times in a game.

In 1950, Bob Shaw had five touchdown catches in a game once.

A kicker has made five field goals in a game five times. Phil Dawson did it last in 2017 in a 20-15 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Chandler Jones and Bertrand Berry each had one game with five tackles for loss.

Tomorrow we will be back with stats for the No. 4.
