Cardinals 2019 stats countdown: 35 days until season opener

The Arizona Cardinals are now exactly five weeks — 35 days — away from their season opener. They will face the Detroit Lions at home.

So what stats can we find in team history for the No. 35?

Three players had 35 points in a season. The last to do it was kicker Neil Rackers in 2003.

Jim Bakken made 35 extra points in 1977 and attempted 35 in 1976.

Neil O’Donoghue attempted 35 field goals in 1984. He made 23 of them.

Carson Palmer set a franchise record in 2015 with 35 touchdown passes.

In two seasons, Kent Graham was sacked 35 times in 1996-1997.

A quarterback has completed 35 passes in a game five times. Kurt Warner did it twice, while Carson Palmer, Jake Plummer and Boomer Esiason each did it once.

Marcel Shipp is the only player to have exactly 35 rushing attempts in a game. He did it in 2003, rushing for 165 yards against the San Francisco 49ers.

We will return tomorrow for the No. 34.
