Cardinals 2019 stats countdown: 16 days until season opener

The Arizona Cardinals are now only 16 days away from their season opener against the Detroit Lions. It will be the official start of the Kliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray show.

Today we look at stats in team history for the No. 16.

Dave Krieg, Timm Rosenbach and Jim Hart all threw 16 touchdown passes in a season. Hart did it twice.

Neil Lomax threw 16 interceptions in 1984. So did Joe Lillard, but in 1933.

Edgerrin James had 16 rushing touchdowns while with the Cardinals. So did QB Jim Hart.

Ollie Matson had 16 receiving touchdowns between 1952-1958.

Carl Allen, Leo Sanford and Lionel Washington each had 16 interceptions with the Cardinals.

Adrian Wilson forced 16 fumbles in his career.

Michael Bankston had 16.5 career sacks with the team.

David Johnson set a team record with 16 rushing touchdowns in 2016.

Sonny Randle holds the team record with 16 receptions in a game. He caught 16 passes for 256 yards and a touchdown against the Giants in a loss in 1962.
