Cardiff v Middlesbrough prediction, time is right for a capital goalfest!

After three Championship draws in succession, can Cardiff clinch a win against a Boro side who have drawn two from their last three?

We asked our Cardiff City expert Glen Williams for his verdict.

Win, lose or draw?

Cardiff City 3-1 Middlesbrough. It just seems like the right time for a big Cardiff City win.

Their victories this season have come courtesy of late winners, but they will hope the momentum from going four games undefeated manifests itself in the form of a goal-fest in the Welsh capital this weekend. The home win is a solid 23/20 tip with thepools.com but the 3-1 correct score is a massive 14/1 .

Who’s a good bet for first scorer?

Robert Glatzel. Scored his first last week and will look to better that record against Boro this weekend. Also a nailed-on starter up front. At 9/2 first scorer and 8/5 any time he's a solid tip.

Who’s on the naughty step?

Leandro Bacuna. Has grown more confident in recent weeks, but that also means he's become more combative. Two yellows for him so far this season.

Who’s on pens?

Robert Glatzel. See above.

Will Cardiff keep a clean sheet?

No, even though the defence has improved in the last few games, I still fancy Boro to score. Both Teams To Score is 7/10 while BTTS and Either Side To Win is 6/4 with thepools.com .
