Cardiff v Dragons team news as Josh Adams fit and visitors make eight changes

Josh Adams returns to Cardiff's starting XV days ahead of Wayne Pivac's autumn squad announcement as the Arms Park outfit look to back up last weekend's derby win over the Scarlets with a victory against the Dragons on Saturday.

The Wales wing is back having missed the previous two matches through a minor groin injury, replacing Theo Cabango in the back-three. The only other change in the Cardiff backline sees Max Llewellyn replace Rey Lee-Lo in midfield.

In the pack, captain Josh Turnbull moves into the second-row after Lopeti Timani was ruled out with a calf injury, with Shane Lewis-Hughes taking his skipper's place on the blindside. On the bench, Wales internationals Dillon Lewis, Matthew Screech and James Botham all return, as does Aled Summerhill after an injury.

The Men of Gwent also welcome back Wales internationals to their side ahead of the short trip to the capital, with Will Rowlands returning to the second-row to captain the side after being rested for the trip to Benetton last weekend.

Dragons head coach Dai Flanagan has made eight changes following the defeat in Italy, bringing back some of his front-line stars. As well as Rowlands, centre Sio Tomkinson and loosehead prop Aki Seiuli return after being rested, while scrum-half Rhodri Williams, hooker Bradley Roberts, tighthead Lloyd Fairbrother, flanker Taine Basham and number eight Ross Moriarty start after being on the bench last week.

Wales back-row Aaron Wainwright has to make do with a place on the bench as Sean Lonsdale is preferred on the blindside, while Argentine scrum-half Gonzalo Bertranou will make his first club appearance of the season after returning from Rugby Championship duty.

However, there's no place for Wales internationals Sam Davies or Rob Evans. Neither are injured, with JJ Hanrahan and Rhodri Jones being preferred to the pair.
