Well the sunny weather has rushed over the city in all its glory and with more sunshine predicted for the rest of the week – everyone will at some point be able to enjoy the rays like those in parks across Cardiff yesterday.

In the news, Cardiff Council have recommended Jon House as the new chief executive, replacing Byron Davies after 17 years in the post. House is currently deputy chief executive for Bristol City Council and the final decision on this will be taken at the full council meeting on Thursday. Leader Rodney Berman said:
"The new chief executive will be at the forefront of meeting the challenges of improving and developing services for the customers, citizens and communities of Cardiff, as well as overseeing the global reputation of the city."
Ofcom has revealed people in Wales use the internet less than the rest of the UK and WalesOnline looks at why.
Veteran record store Spillers has said it faces closure due to the rising rent prices in the area. More here.
