Cardiff today: Sunset Munch, Monky Music and C'est La Vie Tragique

Good morning Cardiff!

Following their protest at the Prosiect Gwrydd roadshow in Cardiff city centre, Cardiff Stop the Incinerator will be present at the next educational roadshow about the councils partnership in Penarth today from 11am.

This evening there will also be a Sunset Munch outside City Hall. The event organised by the Federation of Student Islamic Societies aims to bring together different communities and faith leaders across the city to encourage other cultures to be embraced. The event starts at 8pm and attendees should bring their own food.

Project organiser Zara Kadir from Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS) said:

"It's currently the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims around the world fast from sunrise to sunset. It is a deeply spiritual time of self-reflection, abstinence and importantly a time of community. At this event, Muslims will break their fast with family, friends and strangers alike, further strengthening the local community spirit.

"It's a fantastic opportunity for community cohesion, we'll have the honour of hosting prominent faith leaders and we hope to see the diverse Cardiff community embrace this event, after all it represents what is really special about this city."
