My Whitchurch has been redeveloped as a community blog and is looking for local contributors. Matt Lock, who runs the site, says:
"The whole purpose is to let everyone know what's going on in the area, and your help is needed with that. The site consists of news items (in an informal blog style) local events which could be anything from a table top sale, community meeting or the Whitchurch Festival. Very shortly there will be an easy to use directory listing all the shops in Whitchurch including their opening times and contact details."
Recently the blog has looked at the new community centre in Whitchurch and pointed to the Fix My Street service (which we also run on the front of the Cardiff blog here) for residents to report their problems to the council. Well done to Matt who runs MyWhitchurch for keeping it up. Those wanting to get involved should contact Matt on news@mywhitchurch.co.uk.
On Fix My Street Cardiff bin bags ripped open in Roath as well as a deteriorating road surface have been highlighted. Broken council promises in Adamsdown have left one resident exasperated.
