At City Hall, the licensing sub committee will take place at 10am. Applications for new licences come from Cardiff City Stadium to provide outdoor live music and dancing, and for the Three Arches in Cyncoed to be open until 12am on weekdays and 1am on weekends. In the news, Sean White has been jailed for two years for fraud after duping a 76-year-old lady from Penarth out of £270,000. The elderly victim, Anne Cornock, has since passed away, and police have called this one of the worst fraud cases in south Wales. Police are urging residents not to answer their door to strangers and be wary of phone calls from people offering money. Read the full report here. In the news, the demand for allotments in Wales has seen a steep rise as local councils struggle to keep up. The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens wants to see more plots freed up, reports BBC Wales.
Fire crews were called out to Floyd fashion store after the basement of the building caught fire. You can still see the area cordoned off as police investigate the cause of the blaze.
