Cardiff today: Lego comes to cardiff, No Place Like Home and Christmas Fayres

Good morning Cardiff!

Cardiff, and Wales, will get its first Lego Store, one of the world's largest toy manufacturers, today at St David's shopping centre. The new 2,409 sq ft store which is situated on the lower level of Grand Arcade will open in time for the Christmas shopping rush.

An exhibition documenting the work of Tresillian House and The Huggard centre will take place today until Saturday. The exhibition entitled, No Place Like Home, will feature images taken by staff and service users of the centres and will also include a full sound installation. It marks the end of an era for the buildings before work begins next year on a new state of the art multi-million pound centre.

Tim Davies will hold a gallery walk and talk with Eileen Little for the exhibition 50th Year to Heaven at Chapter Arts Centre.

Independent shops in Cardiff's arcades are launching a loyalty scheme to challenge high street giants, reports WalesOnline.
