Cardiff today - foodie blogs, 4am project and Easter confessionals

Good morning Cardiff!

I trust you all had an enjoyable Easter weekend. Today we'll feature some of the photos from the Cardiff 4am project. Also, Artisan microbrewery held their second beer festival on Saturday, so if you went along and took some good pictures, let me know.

If you've just kicked yourself back into work mode after a long weekend away from the daily slog, here's a quick update on the weekend's main events.

In the news, eight people were arrested after Cardiff city beat Swansea city in the South Wales derby this weekend, reports BBC Wales. You can read about Cardiff's 2-1 win here.

South Wales Police apparently spend £1,500 per day on publicity according to WalesOnline. Oh, and Doctor Who attracted more than eight million viewers – if you missed it, catch up on BBC iPlayer.

On the blogs, Nicki of Cardiff Bites has been busy finding and interviewing other foodie bloggers in Cardiff for a series on her blog. Each interview is a great read. Nicola speaks to the oldest foodie blogger in Cardiff , while other interviews feature some old favourites – Tea and Biscuits, Delicious Delicious Delicious and Pint of 45.

Hack/Flash's first project, the Easter confessional, took place this weekend, with questions such as 'What can you never say?' posted up around the city. The anonymous answers were celebrated at Cardiff Arts Institute last night; expect some photos and write-ups about the event on the blogs later this week. See more on the Hack/Flash blog here.

Buzz Magazine reviews Rogue Theatre's The Family at Wales Millennium Centre: "wickedly funny and crackling with modern energy". The site also highlights three blogs for people who don't read blogs.

The Joy Collective provides a bite-sized lowdown on the best gigs in Cardiff in April on their website.

Over on The Sprout, they've launched something handy called The Sprout Direct, which will allow you to find useful services near to you by postcode. Pretty nifty.

A whole host of new problems were added to Fix My Street over the weekend, with quad bikers in Splott, a dip in the road in Adamsdown, four new and old potholes reappearing in Llanrumney and Heath, as well as illegal parking in Llanishen.
