Cardiff today – Cardiff Conversation, Cemaes park gates and CF14 snow pics

Good morning Cardiff!

Cardiff council today launches a Cardiff Conversation to get the views of local businesses on the city's economy. Deputy council leader Neil McEvoy will launch the event at City Hall to allow businesses to discuss issues affecting them as well as listen to interviews from other business leaders. With the council's business team looking at how to respond to local financial pressures and support initiatives, the conversation hopes to help Cardiff stay a vibrantly economic city.

Executive member for economic development, Neil McEvoy, said:

"2010 was a tough year for business across the whole of the UK, and in Wales in particular. If Wales is to become a competitive economy again, then Cardiff needs to lead the way.

That's what the Cardiff Conversation is all about – listening to business, so that we can best serve the needs of business and develop a thriving and prosperous capital city."
