Today there'll be live body painting at Kings Square in Barry from 12-3pm.
As part of the local council's new events season the faces of Gavin and Stacey, who have since made the seaside town famous, are set to be painted directly onto models in the middle of the town's busiest shopping street by world contest-winning body artist Raphaelle.
Cardiff Council will host an open evening for those interested in fostering children at County Hall from 5.30pm today – read more here.
Also tonight, Tremofa will hold it's partnerships and communities meeting at Tremorfa Community Centre and the Cardiff Transition Project will be meeting at Zero Degrees for their new Give & Take night following the success of Show & Tell.
What's making Cardiff tick today?
In the news, Cardiff Bay visitors centre, known locally as The Tube, will move to its new home at the Wales Millennium Centre to make way for new developments around Roath Basin.
In September it will re-open as the newest centre in the Visit Wales's 'Tourist Information Centre' (TIC) Network. The council plans to store the old Tube structure, should funding be found to update and restore the building at a later date, with a possible option of having it on the Graving Docks, overlooking the waters edge.
