Roads across Cardiff are "extremely busy" due to drivers "panic buying fuel", Cardiff Bus has warned.
Cardiff Bus has been forced to apologise to customers after panic buying at petrol stations caused delays to their service on Friday September 24.
The bus company said that roads in the capital were "extremely busy" due to queues at petrol stations and that drivers were "trying their best" to get through.
Motorists and shoppers have been urged not to panic buy fuel and goods as the shortage of lorry drivers hit some deliveries but there have been queues across the country with some stations running out of stock.

Updating passengers on social media, Cardiff Bus - the city's main bus operator - said: "We would like to apologise for the current delays we are experiencing across our network, the roads are extremely busy due to the panic buying of fuel - we would like to thank you for your patience, our driver will be with you asap."
They then posted a second update which read: "We would like to apologise for the current delays we are experiencing across our network, the roads are extremely busy due to the panic buying of fuel - we are trying our best to get through."

At some supermarkets, including the Asda in Leckwith, Cardiff, staff have been directing cars into queues around the car park leading into the filling stations.
Tesco had said that it had a "good availability of fuel" at its own filling stations, while some Esso-branded filling stations with a Tesco store have been affected by the HGV delivery crisis. BP has also warned that it will ration deliveries to some filling stations, meaning they may be without fuel at some points, as it prioritises motorway service stations.
Tesco said it has experienced minimal temporary outages in a small number of areas, and are ensuring supply is replenished quickly. It is not a lack of fuel, but a shortage of drivers being able to get it to the pumps.

Steve Coombe of the Petrol Retailers Association, told BBC Radio Wales: "The sector is under pressure from a lack of trained HGV drivers."
"There is plenty of stock available at the refineries," he added. "Cases of complete forecourt stock out have been very rare. The resilience of retail fuels is not in question.
"Everyone should keep calm. There is plenty of stock. Those sites that have had problems are being replenished. There is no need to panic."
Ministers faced fresh pressure to ease immigration rules as an emergency measure to attract HGV drivers from overseas amid warnings that 100,000 more were needed across the industry.
UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps suggested adding HGV drivers to the skilled worker list for immigration purposes would not solve the problem, although he insisted he nothing had been ruled out.
The issues around petrol supply, on top of problems in the food industry and rising gas prices have led to warnings the Government faces a “winter of discontent”.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Government said: "The shortage of HGV drivers is of significant concern as they are critical to effective and timely distribution of goods across the country.
"We are monitoring the situation very closely but responsibility lies with UK government and we continue to raise our concerns with them."
