Cardiff is soon to see a vogue of moustaches return to young faces city wide – with hundreds of hairy caterpillars appearing on upper lips from Monday.
Not a return to the 80s fashion craze, students from University of Wales Institute, Cardiff will be growing moustaches in November to raise money for charity.
Movember, the month-long charity event which encourages participants to grow a moustache, will start next week will raise awareness of prostate cancer.
To kick off the month students and staff will be invited to have a clean shave at the Students' Union bar (Cyncoed) to start of the moustache growing.
The month will culminate in a 'shave off' at the same venue with prizes given out to the best moustaches.
The campaign is organised by the UWIC Students' Union (SU). All proceeds raised for Movember will go to The Prostate Cancer Charity and Everyman (Institute of Cancer Research).

UWIC has linked up with the official Movember site where you can donate money to the charities.
Speaking of the upcoming Movember campaign, UWIC Students' Union Vice President, Nichola James, said:
"Movember is an excellent way to raise awareness and money for the Prostate Cancer Charity. It encourages motivation and friendly competition between the students and staff. It is really important that we all link together as a university to show our appreciation and support. 10,000 men die every year from prostate cancer which is one man every hour, so let's get involved and contribute our efforts towards the event."
