Cardiff dessert café Creams reopens just three months after closing

A popular dessert café in Cardiff which closed suddenly earlier this year has reopened.

Creams on St Mary Street, closed unexpectedly in August to widespread dissappointment.

At the time, owners said the closure was just temporary after new landlords decided to seize the leasehold of the property and change the locks.

The director of the chain said he hoped the branch would reopen "in 10 days".

Now, nearly three months after the closure, the 1950s American-style gelato café has reopened its doors.

Manager of Creams Café, Eve Davis, said: "I’m thrilled that we’re able to welcome customers through the doors of Creams Cardiff once again."

The newly reopened store will be offering a limited edition winter season menu, which will launch on November 11 and run until February 23.

This is why ice creams are called 99's

Last year, Creams served more than four million customers, dishing out over 50 million scoops of gelato and one million milkshakes.
