Cardiff City vs Swansea City odds, prediction and a 15/2 first scorer tip

Cardiff were just edged out in the first South Wales derby of the season, Ben Wilmot's header earning the bragging rights at the Liberty Stadium.

But can The Bluebirds earn revenge on home soil?

We asked our Cardiff City expert Glen Williams for his verdict on Sunday's High Noon shoot-out.

Win, lose or draw?

Cardiff City 1-1 Swansea City. No team has ever done the double in the South Wales derby and Cardiff cannot let that be the case this weekend. Their defence has been too leaky and they've started games sluggishly, though, so expect a score-draw.

The draw is a solid 12/5 punt. But the 1-1 correct score is an even better 11/2 with thepools.com.

Who’s a good bet for 1st scorer?

Lee Tomlin. He has just been nominated for Championship Player of the Month for December and his contributions in front of goal have been superb. He's also a big 15/2 to score first and 11/4 to score at any time with thepools.com.

Who’s on the naughty step?

Also Lee Tomlin. He already has seven yellow cards to his name and can be a feisty character.

Who’s on pens?

Robert Glatzel will likely take the penalties. He's an 11/2 first scorer price and 15/8 to score at any time.

Will Cardiff keep a clean sheet?

No. Clean sheets have been something of a rarity this season - so BTTS a solid bet this weekend. It's  7/10 with thepools.com.
