Cardiff City vs Swansea City fixture change as South Wales derby will be shown live on Sky TV

The date of the second South Wales derby of the season has been changed after the match was selected for live TV coverage.

The clash, which was originally scheduled for 3pm on Saturday, January 11, has now been moved to Sunday, January 12 and will kick off at 12pm.

The fixture will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Cardiff City will be looking to avenge the 1-0 defeat they suffered at the Liberty Stadium last month, one of a few of poor performances which ultimately led to Neil Warnock's resignation on Monday afternoon.

The result, courtesy of a Ben Wilmot winner, was symptomatic of where the two sides currently sit.

Cardiff are currently treading water in 14th place while Swansea City are riding high in the upper echelons of the Championship in fourth, just four points off West Brom at the top of the table.

The Bluebirds will have a new manager by the time the Swans make the trip east down the M4 in the New Year and many will hope the Welsh capital club put in a far better showing than they did at the Liberty Stadium.

Steve Cooper, however, will be vying to claim the bragging rights as the first manager ever to claim a South Wales derby double in the same season.

The other fixture that was changed for TV purposes was Brentford vs Queens Park Rangers, which will be shown line on Sky TV are 12.30pm on Saturday, January 11.
