Cardiff City vs Man Utd
Premier League 2018/19
Venue: Cardiff City Stadium
Date: Saturday, 22 December, 2018
Kick-off time: 5:30pm GMT
A new era begins for Manchester United on Saturday as caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes the Red Devils to face Cardiff City for their first game following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho was given his marching orders by Ed Woodward on Tuesday morning following a disastrous start to the season, and the Glazers' patience with the Portuguese coach has finally run out.
The are undoubtedly more difficult games a Mourinho-less United could have faced than a trip to Cardiff - Solskjaer's former club, no less - but the Bluebirds have won two of their last five games to climb out of the drop zone.

Team news
It really is anybody's guess who will play for Man Utd this weekend as the club move on from the Mourinho era, but the likes of Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are likely to be restored to the starting XI in a bid to move forward.
However, Solskjaer will still be without Alexis Sanchez, who is out until the new year.
Luke Shaw could return to action, although Scott McTominay and Chris Smalling are doubts.
