Cardiff City vs Liverpool video shows fan being thrown out amid angry scenes

Video has emerged of a supporter being thrown out of the Cardiff City Stadium during the game between Cardiff City and Liverpool.

Footage has been circulating on social media of disturbances in the Canton Stand of the stadium on Sunday afternoon.

It is unclear whether the person who was escorted out was a Reds supporter.

Shouts of "you Scouse b******"  and "cheerio" are hurled before four stewards carry the man out towards an exit.

A Cardiff City spokesman said the club reviews any such incidents in conjunction with South Wales Police and referred to the ground regulations on policy, which reads: "Any individual who has entered any part of the ground designated for the use of any group of supporters to which he does not belong may be ejected from the ground either for the purposes of his own safety or for any other reason."

The game, which ended 2-0 to the Merseysiders, was an exciting affair with a superb atmosphere - even if Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was a bit put out by the home fans' jeers as the visitors missed chance after chance in the first half.

Liverpool's away allocation were housed in the corner of the ground by the Grange End and Ninian Stand - as is customary at Cardiff games - with visiting fans banned from sitting among Bluebirds supporters under ground regulations.

In the build-up to the game, tickets had been selling for more than £1,000 on resale websites.

And in the hours before kick-off police had issued a warning over reports of forged tickets being sold.

Speaking on social media on Sunday morning ahead of the 4pm kick-off, Chief Inspector Joe Henderson-Jones said: "Reports of forged tickets being sold. If you haven’t secured your ticket through a reputable source or unsure of its validity please contact the club to check it.

"Due to a sell-out, forged tickets can only be turned away."

Earlier this season, seven Manchester United fans were ejected from the home section of Cardiff City Stadium.

Video emerged of one being kicked out and later chased through the concourse by Cardiff fans .
