Here are your Cardiff City transfer headlines for Tuesday, June 29.
Derby County forward lined up by Coventry City
Coventry City have reportedly entered talks to sign one-time Cardiff City target Martyn Waghorn.
The Bluebirds were said to be looking at a move for free agent Waghorn, who had worked with Mick McCarthy previously at Ipswich Town.
That striker berth now appears to have been filled with the arrival of James Collins, who coincidentally turned down a move to the Sky Blues, the club he is said to support, in favour of a switch to the Welsh capital.

It now looks as if Mark Robins has turned his attentions to Waghorn though, after missing out on Collins.
CoventryLive report that the Midlands club are in talks with the player, who will leave Derby County as a free agent this summer.
Blackburn Rovers line up swoop for Adam Reach
Cardiff City's Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers are interested in a move for Adam Reach after the Bluebirds had made contact over a potential switch earlier in the summer.
Joe Bennett has left the club following the end of his contract and Cardiff will no doubt recruit a left back at some point in this window.
At one time that was thought to be Reach, with the club having touched base over a transfer in the knowledge that the player was out of contract at Sheffield Wednesday at the end of the campaign.
Cardiff couldn't agree a deal with the player and it was then accepted that his future lies elsewhere. However, some time has passed now and he has still not agreed a move just yet.
Recently-promoted Premier League outfit Norwich City have been credited with an interest, but, according to the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn have not given up hope of signing the 28-year-old.
Indeed, Tony Mowbray handed him his senior debut at Middlesbrough back in 2011, so there is a strong connection between manager and player.
For Cardiff, Hull City's Callum Elder is someone they have taken a look at, however talk on that front has gone a little quiet of late.
The more likely option looks to be a loan move for Wolves' 21-year-old left-sided versatility man Ryan Giles.

Cardiff named in clubs still chasing Manchester City starlet
Cardiff City have once again been namechecked as one of the clubs chasing a loan deal for Manchester City striker Liam Delap.
The 18-year-old forward was named City's Premier League 2 Player of the Season and has drawn interested from a glut of clubs in English football's second tier.
The Express claim that Millwall, Cardiff and Middlesbrough are still keen on a loan deal for the youngster next season.
While the Bluebirds might have expressed an interest at some point this summer, it seems a little difficult to envisage them adding yet another young striker to the squad.
As well as senior options Kieffer Moore and James Collins, Cardiff have Mark Harris, Max Watters and Isaak Davies, who was meant to start the final game of the season against Rotherham, all in situ at the minute. Isaac Vassell reported for pre-season training on Tuesday, too.
It seems highly unlikely Delap's next destination is Cardiff, but football is a funny old game.
The Express also claim that Millwall had a £1m bid rejected for Sheffield Wednesday's Josh Windass. The Bluebirds were linked with him once again this summer, but there was nothing concrete in those reports.
Ex-Bluebirds loanee joins Neil Warnock at Boro
Former Cardiff City loanee Sammy Ameobi has agreed to link up with Neil Warnock at Middlesbrough.
Ameobi spent the 2015/16 season at Cardiff City Stadium but failed to set the world alight with his year-long spell from his parent club Newcastle.
The winger left Newcastle in 2017 before enjoying a two-year stint at Bolton Wanderers. He earned a move to Nottingham Forest, where he has played for the last two seasons.
The Midlands club released him this summer, though, and Warnock sought to snap him up, presumably as a replacement for ex-Bluebirds wide man Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, who was released by Boro this summer.
“As soon as I became aware Sammy was available I let him know I wanted him, and we had a few good conversations," Warnock said.
"I thought it was important he could see what he could do for us, and what I could do for him.
"I've always thought he's a danger, and I'll be looking to use that danger and have a system where I can get him in positive forward positions."
Ameobi re-joins Boro, where he had a loan spell back in 2013, on a two-year deal.
