Cardiff watching Johnston
Cardiff City are reportedly among a number of clubs watching Motherwell star Max Johnston.
The Daily Record claims a scout for the Bluebirds was in attendance at Motherwell's clash with Hearts on Sunday to cast their eye over the right-back, who can also play in midfield.

It's claimed City are among a number of clubs to have shown an interest recently, with Championship rivals Sheffield United, Luton Town and Preston all believed to be tracking the Scotland youth international.
The 19-year-old is heading into the final four months of his deal in North Lanarkshire, and has emerged as a key player for Motherwell since returning from his loan at Cove Rangers.
Sawyers says the kids are alright
Romaine Sawyers says the youth of Cardiff City's squad could work in their favour as they bid to secure Championship survival.
Sawyers, who at 31 is one of the more experienced members of Sabri Lamouchi's squad, was on target in City's 1-0 triumph over Reading on Friday night - a result that handed them back-to-back wins for only the second time this season.
The midfielder has already suffered relegation once in his career, having fallen out of the Premier League with West Brom in 2021.
However, he believes having so many members of the squad that aren't used to the pressures of a relegation battle could actually work out as an advantage.
"You can get punished with any mistake in a relegation fight but this group is different [to that West Brom squad]," he said.
"We've got a younger squad and sometimes that's a good thing because there's no baggage.
"When you're young you're naive to the situation you're in and you don't overthink. You just focus on each game as a cup final and still have that confidence to get over the line."
McCarthy has 'no complaints' over Cardiff sacking
Mick McCarthy says he has no hard feelings over losing his job at Cardiff City, and has heaped praise on the club's hierarchy for their support during his tenure in the capital.
The Yorkshireman was sacked midway through last season after overseeing a disastrous run of eight straight defeats.
However, having now taken the job at relegation rivals Blackpool, McCarthy insists he has no complaints over the club's decision.
Speaking to the Beautiful Game Podcast, he said: "I thought the club were really fair to me. I thought the club wanted me to do well and to be successful.
"They could have pulled the trigger after five games [on that losing run] but didn't and they supported me. So I've no hard feelings towards anybody for that.
"After the game, I went into the press conference and I got the call from Mehmet Dalman, who was really supportive of me and wanted to do well.
"I couldn't argue with it [the decision]. Not at all.
"But they were so supportive and so respectful since. I've no recriminations with them at all, they've been fabulous."
