Boss Neil Warnock says he is still hoping to add to his squad before next Thursday's deadline.
The Bluebirds added Robert Glatzel this week in a £5.5million deal - but the veteran manager says he may try to sneak another deal over the line
"I’ll be very surprised if it’s more than one. We’ve got targets," he said at a pre-Wigan press conference on Thursday.
"I’ve spoken to a couple of Premier League managers in the last week, and there may just be an opportunity at the death for a loan. We haven’t really got any loans.
"One or two names cropped up which I thought were quite interesting if I’m honest, so if we didn’t get anybody in I’d probably try and get one of those lads on loan."
