Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore officially unveiled as new West Brom player after £8m deal struck

Kenneth Zohore has been unveiled as West Brom's latest signing in a move that sees him leave Cardiff City.

The Bluebirds have agreed an £8m fee for the Dane, with Zohore penning a four-year contract with the club.

Zohore left Cardiff's pre-season tour in North America to seal the deal.

Baggies head coach Slaven Bilić said: "He is a player who has got more than a bit of everything, he's strong, he has pace, he has good skill.

"He knows the league, he knows the country, he's already got good experience but he's still got room to improve. He's not the finished article. I hope he's going to be a very good player for us."

In a statement, the Bluebirds said: "Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that forward Kenneth Zohore has agreed a deal to join West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

"We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Ken for his contribution and wish him the very best for his future."

The striker, who split opinion during his three years with the Bluebirds, joins the Baggies following an £8m bid - too much money, Neil Warnock felt, for the club to turn down, even for his number-one centre-forward.

The 25-year old has enjoyed a mixed spell at Cardiff City Stadium since joining from KV Kortrijk in July 2016, netting 24 goals in 96 games for the Bluebirds.
