Cardiff City star Junior Hoilett linked with a move to Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough

Cardiff City starJunior Hoilett has been linked with a move to Middlesbrough this summer.

The 30-year-old has been a regular for the Bluebirds this season, scoring seven goals and playing 45 times for the club, taking his total up to 125 since joining the club in 2016.

But Teeside Live are reporting that former Cardiff boss Neil Warnock is keen on a move for Hoilett.

Boro finished five points above the relegation zone last season as the Bluebirds suffered heartbreak in the Championship play-off semi-final.

Having signed to stay on at the Riverside after keeping Boro up, Warnock has now turned his attentions to building a squad for next season.

Should the move come off, it will be the third time the pair have worked together, with Hoilett playing under Warnock at QPR and then Cardiff.

Hoilett has one year left to run on his contract in the Welsh capital and played in both legs of the recent play-off semi-final.
