Cardiff City set to battle it out with Nottingham Forest, QPR and Huddersfield Town for Exeter City star - reports

Cardiff City are among a host of clubs reportedly interested in Exeter City winger Randell Williams.

According to Team Talk , Nottingham Forest, QPR and Huddersfield are also monitoring the 22-year old, who's been in impressive form for the Grecians this season.

Williams, a former Tottenham youth star, has appeared in 11 games for City this season, having arrived at the club on a free transfer from Watford back in January.

He has since gone on to be a big part of Exeter's first team, and the Devon club are reportedly expecting him to attract attention from clubs higher up the footballing food chain.

The strength of Cardiff's interest remains to be seen, but Neil Warnock does have a track record of dipping into the lower leagues for attacking talent.

The likes of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Gavin Whyte have been plucked from the lower leagues and have gone on to shine for Cardiff under the Yorkshireman, and Williams may well be view as a player in the same mould.

The winger has so far earned three assists for the Grecians, who currently sit to of League Two after a run of six wins and four draws from their opening 10 games.
