Cardiff City's Bruno Manga on relegation battle regrets and the one club he'd find it hard to turn down

Cardiff City's Bruno Ecuele Manga has admitted there are a lot of regrets amid the Bluebirds ' relegation battle - and revealed the one club he'd find it hard to turn down.

The 30-year-old has brought a cool head to the Bluebirds' defence this season, and there has been talk of offering the player a new two-year deal.

But with Cardiff's fight to stay up coming to its final stages with just two games left, Manga has addressed regrets over the course of the campaign ahead of the their penultimate game of the season against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

In an interview with Girondins4Ever , Manga said: "Honestly, it’s going to be very, very complicated. All [Brighton] need is a point, and that’s us done.

"We’re really disappointed because when you look at the team we have, the players we have, and the efforts we’ve put in this season… Honestly, there’s a lot of regrets."

What's happened to Joe Ledley, the Cardiff City and Wales hero who doesn't have a team anymore

In terms of the centre-back's club future, his current deal at Cardiff City Stadium is due to expire in the summer.

But WalesOnline reported last month how Cardiff have an extra year to trigger on that deal, with Neil Warnock wanting to offer Manga a two-year extension.

The defender said: "At the end of the season, I’ll have a year left on my contract. I don’t know… For me, really, no lies, the most important are the two remaining games.

"We need to finish the season well, and we’ll see what can happen next season. Why not come back to Bordeaux?! No, I’m kidding."

He added: "Frankly, it would be very difficult to say no to Bordeaux. It's a club that made me know a lot, which gave me a lot, too."
