Here are your Cardiff City headlines for Tuesday, March 7.
Bluebirds hammer Sheffield Wednesday
Cardiff City's under-18s inflicted a 5-0 drubbing over Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon, with Trey George bagging a hat-trick for the young Bluebirds.
George scored three goals in 27 minutes either side of half-time, sandwiching two strikes from Troy Perrett.
Steve Jenkins' side were coming off the back of a 3-1 win over Ipswich Town and a thumping 4-2 win over Swansea City in the mini-South Wales derby, meaning that is three in a row for the young Bluebirds.
They sit in third place, behind Charlton Athletic and Millwall, in the Professional Development League table.
Warnock: I've never been in a worse situation
Neil Warnock has claimed he has never been in a worse situation than the one he finds himself in at relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town.
Warnock is a firefighter manager who is always tasked with coming in to rescue clubs in peril, but even he was candid about the bleakness of the task which faces him right now.
After winning the first game as Terriers boss, Warnock, who some wanted back at Cardiff before Sabri Lamouchi's appointment, has lost the last two matches 4-0.
Ahead of tonight's clash with Bristol City, with whom he famously has a strained relationship, shall we say, the Terriers sit seven points adrift of safety.
Speaking about the match, he said: "One or two fans must have been thinking they wish I'd go back to Cornwall after that result. We are seven points adrift of safety with a horrendous fixture list.
"I have probably never been in a worse situation than this. But I am enjoying it and think I am the best man for the job.
"If [tonight] is a bit tasty with the Bristol City fans that's great, isn't it?
"My reputation won't be tainted by a relegation because everyone knows the position we're in but we need to ruffle some feathers. We can decide who goes up and who gets relegated. I've always wanted to be a thorn in the sides and that's what I want to be."
Another relegation-threatened side is also in action tonight, with Wigan taking on West Brom at The Hawthorns.
Loanees in action tonight
Cardiff are likely to be keeping tabs on a couple of their players out on loan tonight.
Firstly, in League One, Max Watters could feature for the Tykes in their clash with Portsmouth. Watters came back from a three-game suspension in the last match.
Ollie Tanner could play for York City as they bid to get out of their own relegation scrap in the National League when they take on Bromley this evening. The winger has been in and out of the side up in Yorkshire, having not been named in two of the last matchday three squads.
Kieron Evans, who has impressed at Torquay United, will likely play a part for the Devon club in their own National League clash against Solihull Moors tonight, too. Torquay are currently 22nd out of 24 teams in the fifth tier.
Behind the scenes at the training ground
And, finally, a little insight into the goings on at the club's training ground.
Before Ryan Allsop received a late red card against Bristol City at the weekend, he made a couple of very handy saves.
The most notable of which probably came from Anis Mehmeti, who had an opportunity from point-blank range to put the Robins ahead in the first half.
Fortunately for Cardiff, the goalkeeper was quickly off his line to quell the danger.
Interim goalkeeper coach James Wood has today posted a video on social media showing him and the goalkeepers working on that exact scenario on the training ground, alongside the caption: "GKs prep to matchday execution."
Sabri Lamouchi recently said he is not in any hurry to look for a permanent goalkeeper coach replacement, after letting Graham Stack go shortly after his arrival.
