Ex-Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable has been found dead at his home.
The BBC has reported that emergency services attended 40-year-old Mr Cable's house at Llwydcoed near Aberdare, Cynon Valley, at 5am this morning.
No cause of death has been released. South Wales Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
His family has released a brief statement. On WalesOnline, his mother Mabel, 79, said: "Stuart has travelled all over the world with the band and I have worried myself silly.
"He is now settled down and then this has happens. It has not sunk in yet."
Stuart's brother Paul said: "The family has no further comment to make at this stage. It is in the hands of the police."
And Cardiff City fans have been quick to set up a tribute stream at Vital Football. The website says;
"Stuart was a dedicated Cardiff City fan and had long been associated with the club. In fact, Cable, along with fellow CCFC fans Jonathan Owen (actor), Guto Pryce (Super Furry Animals) and Owen Powell (Catatonia) were due to release a song later this summer and were scheduled to record a version of Bluebirds favourite I'll Be There! (With My Little Pick and Shovel). The song was in support of the Fred Keenor Statue appeal."
Cable left the Stereophonics in 2003 and had hosted his rock show on BBC Radio Wales on Saturday.
