Cardiff City fans express anger and disappointment as star man Bobby Reid is sold to Championship rivals Fulham

Bobby Reid is no longer a Cardiff City player.

The forward has joined Fulham in a deadline day deal believed to be worth around £10m, bringing an end to his time in South Wales after just one season.

The 26-year old arrived last summer carrying reputation as one of the Championship's most prominent goalscorers, netting 19 goals in 46 Championship appearances for Bristol City.

However, he largely failed to hit the same heights under Neil Warnock, netting just five goals in 27 Premier League appearances.

Nevertheless, Reid was still highly rated by a significant section of Cardiff fans, many of whom were hopeful that he could recapture his form for the Robins on Cardiff's return to the Championship.

His sale has subsequently generated a fair amount of concern in the Welsh capital, with fans starting to question to the judgement of the City boss, with the arrival of Bristol City's Marlon Pack and Isaac Vassell doing little to ease concerns.

One fan tweeted: "Not only have we sold one of our best players... We’ve sold him to one of the better teams in the Championship."

Another said: "If we sell Bobby Reid I'm retiring from being a Cardiff fan."

Meanwhile, the signing of Robins midfielder Marlon Pack has done little to ease concerns in the mind of many Cardiff fans.

One said: "Most probably been offered more money to sign for us. Still cant get over how other clubs have managed to get good players in. But we struggled

Another added: "Selling Bobby Reid and bringing in Marlon Pack is a bit of a kick in the teeth to the supporters."

However, judging by the reactions of some fans on the other side of the Severn, such pessimism may well be a little misguided.
