Cardiff City have continued their busy summer recruitment drive by signing Mahlon Romeo from Millwall.
Romeo has signed a three-year deal in the capital, and is the second right-back to arrive at the club in the last few hours after the club announced the signing of Vontae Daley-Campbell on a free transfer from Leicester City.
Despite being labelled as an 'undisclosed fee', it's understood the move is a free transfer.
Both players follow on from the captures of Ebou Adams, Jak Alnwick, Ollie Tanner, Jamilu Collins and Callum O’Dowda in what's been a busy summer so far.
The move to south Wales sees the Antiguan international reunited with former Millwall team-mate and current Cardiff boss Steve Morison, and also brings an end to a seven-year spell in south London, where he made 221 appearances.
He spent last season loan League One side Portsmouth, where he made 41 appearances during an impressive campaign.
Speaking about the move, he said:“I’ve played in Cardiff a fair few times. I’m excited to play here actually for Cardiff City.
"Every time I’ve been here it has been loud and it’s a lovely stadium. I can't wait to get going.”
Morison added: “Obviously, I know Mahlon really well. I was with him when he came through, when he was a young pup. For me this is a perfect move for him.
“He’s going to bring bags of athleticism, real quality on the ball, and I can’t wait to see him galloping up the touchline.”
