Cardiff City confirm loan signings of Nottingham Forest's Albert Adomah and Wolves' Dion Sanderson

Cardiff City have confirmed the signings of Albert Adomah and Dion Sanderson on short-term loan deals until the end of the season.

Nottingham Forest's Adomah, 32, comes with a wealth of Championship experience and will bolster the Bluebirds' forward line until the end of the campaign.

Adomah arrived at the City Ground only last summer, but has been a bit-part player of late, having been restricted largely to substitute appearances.

Neil Harris was always clear he wanted to bolster his forward line this month, with many believing Cardiff needed a striker, another winger and perhaps another creative midfielder.

However, the manager opted for the Ghana international, who will provide ample back-up on the flank with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing likely to be out for the rest of the season.

Sanderson, meanwhile, is a highly-rated defender who can play both at centre back and at right back and is thought to be cover for the outgoing Lee Peltier.

The 20-year-old is a product of the Wolves academy and will also join until the end of the campaign.

The Bluebirds made their first signing of the window on Thursday, when Bournemouth left back Brad Smith put pen to paper on a loan deal until the end of the season.
