Cardiff City complete move for Bristol City midfielder Marlon Pack

Cardiff City have completed a move for Bristol City midfielder Marlon Pack.

The 28-year old has signed a three-year deal at the club and joins for an undisclosed fee.

Pack made 272 appearances for the Robins since his arrival at Aston Gate from Cheltenham Town back in 2013, and is the second new face in through the door at the Cardiff City Stadium following the arrival of striker Isaac Vassell.

Speaking to the club's official website, Pack said: "It's been a quick turnaround but I'm delighted to be here,"

"Obviously, as a former Bristol City player, I know it's a tough place to come - I never got a result here.

"But now, as a Cardiff City player I'll be looking to make sure it's a fortress and hopefully help the lads try to get promotion."

Boss Neil Warnock added that Pack's arrival could help to fill the gap left by the departed Aron Gunnarsson, and give Cardiff the midfield general many believe was missing during the defeat to Wigan on the opening day.

"He’s the leader we’ve been looking for now since we knew Gunnars was leaving," Warnock said.

"We waited and waited and finally managed to get it over the line today, so we’re delighted with that really.

"I think everyone knew we missed that leadership and I think this squad has got great characters now in different areas."
