Cardiff City will begin their 2021/22 Championship season at home to Barnsley.
The Bluebirds will hope to mount a better promotion charge than they did last season and it will have to get off to a better start than it did in the last campaign
It will be Mick McCarthy's first full season in charge of Cardiff and he will begin it with a trip to his hometown club Barnsley on August 7.
The first away trip is a giant journey up to newly-promoted Blackpool, which, if supporters are permitted to attend of course, looks to be one heck of an away day for City fans.
And Cardiff play two of the three promoted teams in the first three weeks, travelling to Peterborough United straight after facing Blackpool.

The first derby comes in the form of the Severnside clash with Bristol City on Saturday, August 28.
The first South Wales derby is October 16, when they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. The reverse fixture won't take place until April 2, 2022.

City fans will enjoy another home fixture on Boxing Day, this year hosting Coventry City before a midweek trip down to the south coast to face Bournemouth on December 29. On New Year's Day, the Bluebirds take on West Brom at The Hawthorns.
