Cardi B hasn’t let stay-at-home orders keep her from getting glam.
The rapper has debuted a number of colorful hair makeovers (with the manicure to match) since the coronavirus pandemic first made social-distancing necessary back in March.
But on June 15, the 27-year-old gave her Instagram following the details behind her most elaborate quarantine look yet - and probably the most painful one, too.
“So after ten years, I gave my peacock tattoo a makeover,” Cardi B captioned an Instagram post of before-and-after photos of the tattoo. “This whole week I [have] been takin[g] hours of pain getting tatted,” she added before thanking her tattoo artist.
The colorful tattoo runs from Cardi’s waist down the back of her thigh and includes a more detailed and brighter version of the peacock she originally had inked.
California-based tattoo artist, Jamie Schene, was behind Cardi’s tattoo makeover, and he shared a photo of the results, too, confirming, “Getting tattooed for 7 days in a row is no joke.”
To complete her bold look, Cardi shared another photo on Instagram with a fuchsia pixie hairstyle and her updated tattoo on full display.
Last month, Cardi B also showed off the end results of an elaborate back tattoo that was started before the coronavirus pandemic.
“It took me several months but I’m finally finished,” she wrote alongside a close-up video of the tattoo. “It goes from the top of my back to the middle of my thigh.”
Schene tattooed that design for Cardi as well, sharing on his Instagram that he worked on it in more than 10 different cities and it took over 60 hours to complete.
