Cardi B splits from husband Offset after 'growing out of love'

Cardi B has revealed that she has split with husband Offset after a year of marriage and months after welcoming their first child.

The rapper posted a short clip to Instagram on Wednesday morning telling fans that she had “a lot of love for her baby daddy” but admitted things “hadn’t worked for a long time”.

The 25-year-old said: “So, everybody been bugging me and everything. And you know, I been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now.

“And we're really good friends and you know we're really good business partners and you know, he's always somebody that I run to, to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven't been working out between us for a long time.”

The Bodak Yellow artist added that it may take time to get a divorce but they had “grown out of love” and split.

“I'm going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter's father and yeah,” she ended the video with.

Cardi B and Offset, who is part of hip-hop trio Migos, secretly married in September 2017. They welcomed a daughter, Kulture, in July 2018.

The split comes days after Cardi B was warned by a judge that she could be arrested if she failed to show up for court on Friday December 7 relating to an alleged August brawl at a New York strip club.

In October, Cardi B was charged with reckless endangerment and assault following a melee in the New York borough of Queens earlier in the year.
