Cardi B’s emotional Grammys 2019 acceptance speech in full as she makes history with Best Rap Album award win

Cardi B struggled to hold back her tears as she gave an emotional acceptance speech on collecting the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.

The rapper, 26, made history as she became the first woman to take home the coveted gong.

Cardi B, real name Belcalis Almánzar, appeared to have reconciled her romance with husband Offset as she held his hand during her speech.

The star even thanked the Migos rapper for his support during her pregnancy, crediting him with helping her finish debut album Invasion of privacy.

She went on to thank seven-month-old daughter Kulture, who she welcomed last year with her other half, and a string of other artists who assisted her with the record.

Here is her speech in full:

“I’m sorry. Oh the nerves are so bad. I just want to say thank you everybody that was involved.

“I want to thank my daughter Kulture, I'm not just saying thank you because she's my daughter. It's because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete.

“I had, like, three songs I was for sure having. And then you know how it was, we was like, ‘we have to get this album done so I could shoot these videos while I'm still not showing’. And it was very long nights.

“I want to thank all the artists in my—I'm sorry, I don't got [time]. I want to thank all the artists that took their time and did verses for my album. J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Chance the Rapper, SZA, Kehlani, The Migos.

"You, husband, thank you. Nah, seriously, 'cause he was like, ‘you're going to do this album, girl. We're gonna have this baby, and we're gonna make this album’. And thank you so much, everybody.”
